1918
Born in Santa Fe (Argentina) on August 16 to Italian parents. At the age of three, he moves to Italy with his family, settling in Rome.
1936/1938
Attends the Free School of the French Academy. Draws for newspapers and weekly magazines.
1939/1944
Serves in the military for five years. Sent to the Greek-Albanian front.
After the liberation of Rome, he resumes his interrupted work.
1945
Exhibits a first group of works at the Galleria del Secolo in Rome: his painting fits within the climate of the Roman School but with more expressionist accents.
1946
Exhibits in Rome with L'Art Club at the Galleria San Marco and receives the "Monthly Prize for Young Artists".
Contributes drawings to the literary weeklies Domenica, Cosmopolita, and La Fiera Letteraria.
Creates a series of portraits of Italian artists and writers.
1947/1950
After several solo exhibitions in Rome at Galleria L’Obelisco and Vetrina dei Chiurazzi, and in the USA at Whyte Gallery in Washington, he moves to Argentina with his wife Valentina, where he stays for two years.
Produces ceramics, illustrates books, and collaborates with newspapers and magazines, creating drawings.
Creates another series of portraits and interacts with writers, artists, and exiles, including Rafael Alberti, Mario Ballocco, and Attilio Dabini.
Exhibits in Buenos Aires and Córdoba at Galleria Müller, Galleria Sintonia, and Galleria Bonino.
Returns to Europe and spends several months in London and Paris with a scholarship from the French government.
